Description

Study of a scientific framework to assist in understanding nutrition and diet as they relate to physical activity. Nurtitional considerations related to overall health and performance will be discussed. Topics to be considered include: digestion and energy metabolism, weight control, disordered eating, role of water, ergogenic aids, and consumerism. The effects of commonly used and abused chemical substances will be discussed in terms of the impact on physical performance.
