Overview
Description
This class introduces fundamental concepts of environmental science, organized around the study of specific topics, e.g. earth systems, conservation science, food production, urbanization, and energy resources. The central theme of the course is the interaction of humans and their environments, and the course considers local to global perspectives. Labs focus on local examples and scientific practice. Three lectures and one two-hour lab per week. This course serves as an elective for biology and environmental science & biology majors. Offered even fall semesters.
