Overview
Description
This course examines the human being from the physiological perspective. Emphasis is placed on understanding the biological, chemical, and physical aspects of the major organ systems of the body: nervous, muscle, cardiovascular, respirat- ory, renal, digestive, endocrine and reproductive. Each system is studied from the perspective of how that system functions independently within the human body and how it contributes to the overall functioning of the human being. The course meets for three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week. It is offered each spring semester.
