CLD 6690 City Gates Cohort Experience (Non-credit)
The City Gates Cohort Experience provides a formational path for those in vocational roles outside the church. Cohorts facilitate a group-based learning process that prepares frontline Christians to approach work and life with true Kingdom mission, perspective and instinct. Ultimately, the experience helps connect everyday work with God's mission to renew and restore communities for the common good. Each cohort journeys together for seven months, and begins with an intensive retreat followed by monthly, half-day sessions. These topic-focused sessions have three goals: to see our true identity in the light of the Word and in the context of the Kingdom gospel, to better understand our calling and how it relates to Jesus' mission, and to learn how to influence our context as representatives of Jesus' Kingdom. Currently City Gates convene annually in both Columbus and Detroit.
