Theology of John Wesley

This course offers in in-depth exploration of the theology of Methodism's founder, John Wesley, pursued through engaging primary texts (John Wesley's Standard Sermons and the hymns of Charles Wesley) as well as important secondary literature. The course's emphasis falls on Wesley's distinctive understanding and proclamation of soteriology ("the way of salvation"), though it will also explore his movement's fundamental alignment with Niceno-Constantinopolitan and Anglican theology.
