Description
This course will examine and discuss the profession of dietetics including educational requirements for becoming a registered dietitian (RD), professional organizations, career pathways, and the role of the dietitian in patient care. Students will be introduced to nutrition-related research, its methodology, applications, and areas for future investigation. Students pursuing a degree in dietetics will be strongly encouraged to join student chapters in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or the Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and to attend one professional meeting.
