Basic Listening

Students in this course will listen to comprehend basic stories and narratives; learn to identify main ideas and details, predict speaker attitude, identify tone and make inferences; identify cause & effect, reasons & explanations, and facts & opinions; and listen for exact words or phrases, names and dates, time, amounts, thought groups, WH-questions, comprehend chronologies, sequences, and directions.
