Intermediate Listening

Students in this course will listen to comprehend intermediate level semi-authentic academic lectures; identify main ideas, details, predict attitudes, tone, and inferences; identify cause & effect, advantages & disadvantages, risk & desired outcome, and summarize extended listenings; and employ heuristics such as mind maps, T- charts, Venn diagrams, and formal outlines for strategic notetaking.
