Description

Students will listen to comprehend authentic academic lectures, including: inferences, supporting examples & explanations, facts and figures, attitudes, causes & effects, and organizational cues. Students will demonstrate note-taking proficiency utilizing academic source lectures by employing techniques for organizing notes with timelines, using Venn diagrams to identify commonalities and divergences, using T-charts for mapping problems and solutions, charting processes and developments with time markers. Students will improve notetaking skills by learning to categorize pros-cons, advantages-disadvantages, strengths-weaknesses, benefits-drawbacks, and positives-negatives to effectively organize lecture notes.
