NT SOURCES OF KINGDOM THEOL

This course follows the thread of kingdom theology in key sectors of New Testament literature and uses this theology as a hermeneutic to explore the theology of the Synoptic Gospels and Acts, Pauline and Johannine theology. It will critically reflect on the traditional "order" of Protestant evangelical methodology (beginning with Pauline theology) and the tendency of Jesus research to reverse this order (beginning with Jesus in the Gospels). Particular attention is given to biblical theology and narrative criticism.
