Political Rhetoric

A seminar on the classical art of rhetoric and its impact on political thought and action through the course of world and U.S. history. Students will study important speeches that serve as models of rhetoric in a political context, such as Pericles' Funeral Oration or Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
