Program Description
The hospitality management program concentrates on the management aspects of the industry. The major begins with the business administration core and adds courses in hospitality operations, both lodging and food and beverage, hospitality marketing, hospitality human resources, food safety, and strategic management of hospitality operations.
A wide range of elective courses allow the students to focus their studies in the areas of hospitality in which their career interest lie. Our students work at industry leading companies such as Disney, Marriott, and Hyatt. Students who complete internships and work experience obtain first- hand knowledge of the industry and a head start on their career.
Our hospitality management students are in demand because, in addition to a focus on specialized knowledge, managerial thinking skills, teamwork, and communication skills, a special emphasis is placed on the students to set and achieve high standards and to develop stamina and adaptability. In addition to focusing on specialized knowledge, managerial thinking skills, and communication skills, hospitality management majors also focus on competency of experiential learning and working in teams.
