PASTORAL PERSON AS PROF MINI

(Taken concurrently with CHP 6604-CPE Unit) In this didactic component of CPE, students focus on the integration of pastoral identity, professional awareness, and pastoral functioning by addressing competence in pastoral practice in the context of ministry. Topics that will build the student's theory and practice of clinical pastoral care include scope of practice; standards of practice; pastoral skills; ethical practice; pastoral authority; loss, grief and transition; and pastoral rituals as they relate to the personal and pastoral journey.
