Overview
Description
This course is designed to assist students to understand the interplay of the political, social, economic, legal, ethical, and cultural contexts of education - at the local community, state, and federal levels -- in promoting the success of all student groups. Students will examine the scope and responsibility of aspiring educational leaders to influence the political and cultural contexts in which public education is grounded. Problem-solving simulations will be utilized to provide school leaders with realistic problem-solving scenarios. Analytical tools to maintain positive school community relations to promote student success will be referenced to relevant Ohio standards.
